 A group of friends out for a rocking semester break but their cars borke down and they found themselves trapped in the middle of a very vast forest in a lone and empty road. As they ventured to find help since they found no signal or anybody else. Then they found an elegant yet old gate of which they trespassed in curiousity and in hope to find help.
Their lives are now entwined
It was the first part of the immortal realm. An immortal family dwells in that triangular territory and they are a very anceint family. They are sworn to secrecy for if it should leek where they dwelled hunters would hunt and kill them all. Rendering them to extinction. And now they hold the mortals lives in their hands, but they have to be careful or someone would do something to reveal their secret in the open.
Do not do the forbidden
Everything has its own laws and the forbiddens. One thing about mortals is that other species find them fragily beautiful but of course some others do not. Half breeds are permitted but with a price of choice, most breeders do not live because of the savage child inside them. But some do, with the help of a rare flower but some would just turn them which is more forbidden.
The others
found a few miles from the family's perimeter lies an underground town where it gathers nomadic species and coven alike. One of the 7 towns to hold fallen angels and daemons which are the only species that are currently being accepted. And the family controls them, keeps them from spilling everything and makes sure the place is hidden from mortals.
